Discover the wolf up close with a self-guided visit to the “Uomini e Lupi” Centre in the Alpes-Maritimes Natural Park. The experience includes two multimedia and immersive itineraries, completely dedicated to learning about this extraordinary predator and the relationship that has always bound it to humans.

The first is the Visitor Centre (Piazza Giustizia e Libertà, 3): an informative museum that tells the storey of the human-wolf relationship throughout history and in different cultures. The visit lasts about 1 hour and takes you through different rooms, following an engaging narrative led by the storyteller “Prezzemolo”.

The second is the Wildlife Centre (Strada provinciale per San Giacomo, 3): a route that retraces the true storey of the wolf Ligabue, told by the voice of Caterina, an enthusiast and nature photographer. At the end of the rooms, you will climb an observation tower overlooking an 8-hectare fenced area, where some specimens of Canis lupus italicus live as guests of the rescue centre, no longer suitable for life in the wild.

The two routes can be reached by car, or you can connect them with a 2-kilometer cycle-pedestrian route with 5 themed stages. The visits are available in Italian, English and French thanks to the audio guides, for an accessible and complete experience.
