Amami Oshima is a subtropical island paradise between Kyushu and Okinawa, celebrated for its rich biodiversity, crystal-clear waters, and deep-rooted island traditions.

This full-day tour is by private vehicle with an English-speaking guide throughout, giving access to sights spread across the island that would be difficult to combine without a car.

The day begins with a walk through the primeval Kinsakubaru forest, where giant Hikagehego ferns, ancient trees, and the calls of rare birds create a jungle-like atmosphere.

From there, continue to Ayamaru Cape, one of the island's top scenic spots, where the observatory delivers a 360-degree panorama of coral reefs and the Pacific Ocean, alongside a cafe and wave-carved rock formations.

Head south to tranquil Yadoribama Beach, at the southernmost tip of the main island, known for its clear emerald waters and views across the strait to Kakeroma Island.
