Make your way to San Antonio Aguas Calientes, a Mayan village 30 minutes from Antigua. Meet your host and learn about the history of fire and mankind through an interactive presentation.
Try various ancient fire-making tools, such as a pump drill, bow drill, flint and steel, ferrocerium rod, and magnifying glass. Learn how the Mayans used to create fire with their own hands and hear about their mythology and rituals.
Make fire with a hand drill as the Mayans used to, then celebrate your creation with sacred Mayan incense. Use premium copal resin from the Biosfera Maya nature reserve, Petén, which has been appreciated as an offering to the Mayan gods since ancient times.
