Embark on a 5-day safari from Arusha to Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. See the Big Five and the Great Migration, and stay in comfortable lodges or camps with full board.
On Day 1, depart from Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes you through the scenic countryside, offering glimpses of local life and vibrant landscapes. Upon arrival, embark on your first game drive in Tarangire.
This park is famous for its diverse wildlife, with large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Keep an eye out for the iconic baobab trees that dot the landscape. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, check in at your lodge or camp for a comfortable overnight stay within the park.
On Day 2, leave Tarangire National Park behind and make your way to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey itself offers opportunities for wildlife spotting as you traverse the vast plains. As you enter the Serengeti, be prepared for some incredible game drives.
The park is famed for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five and the Great Migration, where massive herds of wildebeests and zebras roam. Your safari guide will skilfully navigate the Serengeti’s terrain to ensure you have the best chances of encountering these magnificent creatures. Your accommodation for the night will be in a camp or lodge within the Serengeti.
On Day 3, enjoy a full day game drive with lunch box in the Serengeti. Overnight at Serengeti Tortlis Camp on a full-board basis. On Day 4, explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, often referred to as the “African Eden.” This UNESCO World Heritage site is a wildlife haven and features the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, a massive volcanic caldera.
Prepare for an early morning descent into the crater, where you’ll have the chance to witness an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos. Your experienced guide will take you through the diverse landscapes, from open savannah to the lush forest, ensuring you encounter a wide variety of species.
After a full day of game drives and wildlife encounters, head to your accommodation located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views.
On Day 5, bid farewell to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and begin your journey back to Arusha. You’ll have one last opportunity for game viewing as you exit the crater, so keep your eyes open for any wildlife you might have missed.
