What you can expect

Discover Tokyo's most joyful sushi-making class—a hands-on celebration where you make your own sushi, then eat everything you create.

This is more than a cooking class. The fully hands-on format means everyone takes part—no one just watches.
Kids can safely join every step, making it perfect for families, couples, and groups of all ages.
From the “Yoisho!” cheer to shaping your very first nigiri, it's the kind of experience that turns into photos, stories, and lasting memories.

We begin with Kagami-biraki, a traditional sake barrel-opening that symbolises new beginnings.
Together we count down, chant “Yoisho, Yoisho, Yoisho!“, and raise a celebratory toast with a small pour of sake.
(Don't drink alcohol? We'll happily provide water or warm Japanese tea instead—everyone joins the moment.)

Next, learn the core techniques of authentic Tokyo-style (Edomae) sushi with friendly, expert guidance.
You'll make both nigiri and maki rolls step-by-step—how to shape the rice with just the right pressure, handle the toppings, place the fish cleanly, and roll like a pro.
Our instructors also share the tips and recipes you need to recreate it all at home, so the experience stays with you long after the class. Easy for beginners, and genuinely satisfying for food lovers.

To finish, we slow things down: whisk your own bowl of matcha and savour it as the final sip—a calm, satisfying way to wrap up after all the cheers and sushi-making.

You'll find us in the heart of Asakusa, just minutes from Tokyo Skytree, Senso-ji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate, and Ryogoku Kokugikan. We're also within walking distance of Sumida Park and the Sumida River.

Good to know: If you have any allergies, or cannot eat raw fish or wasabi, please let us know in advance so we can guide you smoothly. Everyone is welcome at the table.
