Ashikaga Machinaka Yugakukan

Visit Machinaka Yūgakukan, where you can explore Ashikaga’s history and cultural heritage through engaging models and visual displays. Discover the legacy of the Ashikaga clan and the culture that flourished during the Muromachi period (14th–16th century). Samurai armour rental is available for a limited number of guests (up to 4 people) and requires advance reservation. This is a unique opportunity to experience the town as a samurai and capture memorable photos.

Banna-ji Temple

Explore Banna-ji Temple, a National Treasure with deep ties to samurai history. Originally built on the residence of the Ashikaga clan, the temple is surrounded by a moat, giving it the atmosphere of a fortress.
