What you can expect

Begin your adventure with an ice-breaker and get to know your fellow hikers. Walk through the city, crossing a street where the dense, white city suddenly and abruptly meets the nature and dense pine forest that covers the base of Lycabettus Hill.

Trek the trails, including the hidden treasure known as the Split Rock, a place most locals don't even know about. Take a short break halfway up before continuing up the hill. The further up you go, the more the city reveals itself and your views become bigger and better.

When you arrive at the top, where the chapel of St George is, you get this feeling you are on top of the world. See Athens in its entirety, complete, unobstructed 360 views. On a clear day, you can even see the neighbouring islands and the southern part of Greece known as the Peloponnese.

After savouring the view at the top and taking photos, begin the descent. See a completely different side of the city to what you saw when you were coming up, the side facing the Acropolis and the Aegean Sea.

Reach a great little hidden viewpoint known simply as 'the balcony' where you get unique city and Acropolis views. From there, continue down the last part of the slope before returning to where you started.
