Embark on a full-day adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Lençóis Maranhenses on an immersive 4x4 experience to the Atins region. Departure begins at approximately 8:00 AM from the designated pick-up location, with return scheduled between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, before sunset.
Travel aboard a comfortable 4x4 vehicle driven by a licensed local guide, who will lead you through some of the park's most spectacular scenery. The day begins with a refreshing stop at one of the crystal-clear freshwater lagoons, where you'll have time to swim and relax. The duration of each stop is determined by the guide to ensure the best overall experience.
Depending on the season and weather conditions, the tour may include visits to lagoons such as Lagoa da Esmeralda, Lagoa do Bode, Lagoa do Gavião, and Lagoa da Lua. Since these lagoons are naturally formed by rainfall, the itinerary may vary throughout the year, allowing you to experience the best locations available on the day of your tour.
After enjoying the dunes and lagoons, the journey continues to Canto do Atins, where the white dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean. During the rainy season, it may also be possible to visit the small natural waterfalls that form in the Bonzinho or Ponta do Mangue area, although their presence depends entirely on recent rainfall.
Following your beach stop, there will be time for lunch at a local restaurant in either Canto do Atins or the village of Atins. Your guide will recommend the most suitable restaurant based on the day's itinerary. Lunch is not included.
In the afternoon, you'll explore the charming fishing village of Atins on a short 4x4 tour through its sandy streets before heading to another beautiful lagoon for one final swim surrounded by the iconic white dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses.
After a full day of unforgettable landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and authentic local experiences, you'll return to Barreirinhas in the late afternoon.
Important: The lagoons visited may vary according to the season, as they depend on rainfall. During periods of low precipitation, some lagoons may dry up or become inaccessible. For this reason, the final itinerary is determined by your guide based on the natural conditions on the day of the tour, ensuring the best possible experience.
