Begin your experience by stepping inside Oficina do Doce and taking part in a hands-on workshop dedicated to the legendary Ovos Moles de Aveiro. Travel back to the 16th century and discover the storey behind Ovos Moles de Aveiro — a traditional conventual sweet made from egg yolks and sugar, originally created by Portuguese nuns and now one of the country’s most famous delicacies.

During this interactive workshop, learn about its history and preparation before taking part in the process yourself. Fill delicate wafer shells with the traditional egg cream and shape the iconic forms, just like local artisans have done for generations. At the end of the session, enjoy a tasting of freshly made Ovos Moles de Aveiro.

After the workshop, enjoy a traditional Moliceiro boat ride through the canals of Aveiro, offering a unique perspective of the city’s colourful Art Nouveau buildings, bridges, and historic salt flats. This is one of the most iconic experiences in Aveiro and a perfect way to complete your visit.
