On behalf of Slow Life Bicycle Tour by Guide Jimmy, we have created this itinerary for you to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable cycling experience in Ayutthaya.
We guarantee departures even with just one participant, while groups of 4 or more will enjoy a private tour. We provide child seats, kids’ bikes, touring bikes, mountain bikes, and city bikes in a range of sizes.
Our bicycles are carefully selected for Ayutthaya’s road conditions and designed to provide a comfortable riding position throughout the tour. We do not use standard public rental bikes, ensuring that you can enjoy a more comfortable and enjoyable cycling experience.
Please note that Historical Park entrance fees are not included, as some guests may have already visited the temples before. Preparing cash for the entrance tickets is recommended.
Discover Ayutthaya the slow and local way—by bicycle. This guided ride combines UNESCO highlights, peaceful backroads, local communities, and authentic Thai food experiences. The route avoids busy main roads and follows quiet, mostly shaded paths, making it suitable even for small children. The itinerary may be adjusted depending on weather conditions, riding pace, and your preferred finishing time.
After a simple bicycle and helmet fitting, we begin our ride to Wat Mahathat, home to the iconic Buddha head entwined within tree roots.
We then continue through the Historical Park to the former Royal Palace area, adjacent to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, where we stop outside for photos and historical explanation before continuing to the Reclining Buddha at Wat Lokayasutharam.
Leaving the main town, we cycle through quieter local areas, passing ancient temple ruins along the way. After approximately 20 minutes of easy riding, we arrive at Wat Mae Nang Pluem, an active temple originally built during the Ayutthaya period and restored over the centuries.
On the way back, we cycle through the lively Hua Ro Market, where local residents shop for fresh produce and daily necessities, before enjoying a meal at a local restaurant.
