Your first stop will be in São João Batista, a small town which you will discover is one of the largest poles of the shoe industry in southern Brazil. Whilst there, you will take some time to learn of the local trade.

Following that, discover Nova Trento, colonised by immigrants from Trentino Alto Adige, northern Italy, in 1875. There you can explore its main attractions, such as a charming artisan winery that sells delicious colonial products. You will then encounter the Santa Paulina Sanctuary, which is dedicated to the first Brazilian saint canonised by the Pope in 2002. You will visit the complex and the Basilica, before moving onward to the Museum of Italian Culture.

You will finally visit Brusque, a city which is considered the cradle of the textile industry and the capital of prompt delivery for southern Brazil. It was colonised by Germans and Poles who turned it into a major garment production hub. At the conclusion of your insightful tour of the Italian Route, you will be returned to your hotel.
