Your Guide will be next to the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, at the foot of the hill, where this 2-hour guided tour begins. From here, we’ll explore the history of Plaça d’Espanya, one of Barcelona’s grandest and most symbolic squares, and the iconic German Pavilion from the Universal Exhibition, a landmark of modern architecture. This experience focuses on discovering Montjuïc from the outside, combining history, storytelling, and open-air exploration.
We’ll then continue past the Magic Fountain towards the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC), enjoying its impressive location and learning about its cultural significance. From there, stroll through the Olympic Ring, admire the famous Olympic Flame, and pass by the exterior of the Olympic Museum, where you can see the handprints and footprints of legendary athletes, including Michael Jordan. We will also pass by the Miró Foundation, discovering how Montjuïc became a key site for art, culture, and the Olympic legacy of Barcelona.
Next, enjoy a scenic ascent by cable funicular, (ticket not included €12 extra per person). At the summit, take in sweeping panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. Explore the exterior of Montjuïc Castle, visit the Mayor’s Lookout, and enjoy free time to relax with a refreshing drink while soaking in the views.
As we continue through peaceful gardens and scenic trails, uncover Montjuïc’s hidden connection to Gaudí’s Sagrada Família and learn why this historic hill remains one of Barcelona’s most iconic and meaningful landmarks.
The tour ends at the scenic viewpoint beside the iconic Hotel Miramar Barcelona, offering breathtaking views over the city and the sea. From here, you can choose how to continue your day: take a ride or enjoy a leisurely walk back down the mountain at your own pace.
