We will begin our journey from your hotel in Salou, Cambrils, or Tarragona at the agreed time, heading for our first stop, the port of L'Ampolla, a journey of approximately 45 minutes.
At the port of L'Ampolla, we will board the Balfegó Tour catamaran. During the 20-minute crossing to the bluefin tuna tanks, we will watch an informative video on the characteristics of bluefin tuna and the fishing techniques used by Balfegó.
Once we reach the bluefin tuna tanks, we will anchor the catamaran to admire the species that live in these facilities. These tanks are home to approximately 300 tuna, which can grow up to 8 feet in length and weigh up to 550 pounds. After a short briefing, we will begin the snorkelling activity, swimming among the tuna. For one hour, you will have the opportunity to see these animals up close while swimming alongside them.
We will return to the catamaran, and on the journey back to the port of L'Ametlla de Mar, you will enjoy a tasting of Balfegó bluefin tuna sashimi with wasabi and soya sauce, along with a drink.
After this exciting adventure, we will head to Ulldecona, located on the southern tip of Catalonia, in the Montsià region, along the Sénia River. Within its vast municipal area, 1,379 millenary olive trees have been inventoried, making it the place with the highest number of millenary olive trees in the world.
We will visit the Arión Museum, located in the Sierra de Godall, where the highest concentration of thousand-year-old olive trees per hectare can be found. Here, you will be able to see the monumental Farga I, an olive tree that is over 1,700 years old. The guided tour includes a tasting of varietal and ancient olive oils produced on the estate itself, a sensory experience that will allow you to appreciate the region's cultural and gastronomic richness.
Finally, we will return to Salou, rounding out a day full of marine adventures, culture, and history. You will be dropped off at your hotel, bringing to a close a day filled with discoveries and unforgettable experiences.
