What you can expect

Explore Su Nuraxi, the most important and best-preserved nuragic complex in Sardinia. Excavated in the 1950s by the renowned archaeologist Giovanni Lilliu, the site tells over two thousand years of history, from the Middle Bronze Age to the Roman and early medieval periods.

In the centre stands the main tower, nearly 19 metres high, surrounded by secondary towers, courtyards, and powerful defensive walls. Around it extends a vast village of huts, some of which were used for ritual and community purposes, testifying to the social and economic complexity of the nuragic communities.

The mastery of basalt, the ingenuity of tholos techniques, and the striking atmosphere of the interior spaces make Su Nuraxi a unique place in the world. Visit the site to immerse yourself in a timeless landscape where archaeology and nature blend into an unforgettable experience.

Then, visit the 16th-century Zapata House, built by the Aragonese family, which is now a unique museum where history, archaeology, and ethnography meet.
