Embark on an unforgettable ecological adventure through the Dominican Republic's northern and northeastern coastline. This full-day tour offers a deep dive into the country's rich natural heritage, combining river exploration, cultural history, and breathtaking landscapes.

Begin your journey with a comfortable bus ride from Bayahibe, heading towards Miches for a brief breakfast stop. Continue to Sabana de la Mar, where you'll board a boat that navigates the Caño Hondo River, leading you into the heart of Los Haitises National Park.

This protected area is renowned for its lush mangroves, diverse bird species, and the iconic mogotes—towering 30-meter-high limestone formations rising majestically from the water. Within the park, explore two ancient caverns adorned with petroglyphs and pictographs, offering a glimpse into the Taino civilization's rich history.

After the boat tour, return to the pier and proceed to Paraíso Caño Hondo, an ecolodge nestled within the jungle. Here, savour a traditional Dominican lunch and take a refreshing swim in the natural pools fed by pristine river waters.

The adventure continues as you journey to Montaña Redonda. A safari lorry will transport you to the summit, situated between Laguna Limón and Laguna Redonda. From this vantage point, enjoy panoramic views encompassing the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Eastern Cordillera to the west—a truly spectacular sight.

Conclude your day with a return trip to Bayahibe, carrying memories of an enriching and scenic exploration of the Dominican Republic's natural wonders.
