YanWaiyam is an immersive cultural dining experience that seamlessly blends imperial court cuisine, theatrical performance, and Hanfu aesthetics. Located in central Beijing, near iconic landmarks such as the Forbidden City and Qianmen Street, the venue enjoys a prestigious and easily accessible location surrounded by rich historical and cultural heritage.
Designed as a circular palace-style banquet hall, the restaurant features a central performance stage encircled by 240 dining seats within a spacious 2,000-square-meter venue. Elegant red-toned banquet tables, rotating cushioned chairs, custom Jingdezhen porcelain tableware, and refined décor together recreate the grandeur and ceremonial atmosphere of a traditional imperial feast.
Advanced stage technologies—including holographic 3D LED screens, modular lifting stages, and aerial visual effects—create a fully immersive, cinematic environment. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by attendants dressed in traditional court attire, accompanied by ceremonial greetings, tea service, and hand-cleansing rituals, establishing a strong sense of ritual and occasion from the very beginning.
As the banquet unfolds, each course is paired with a themed performance inspired by Chinese imperial history. Classical dance, court music, poetry recitals, traditional instrumental performances, and costume showcases are seamlessly woven into the dining experience. Each dish tells a storey, intertwining history, etiquette, and cuisine, and guiding guests on an unforgettable journey through Beijing’s imperial past and the refined elegance of ancient Chinese court culture.
