Late Afternoon Pickup: Your private guide and driver meet you at your hotel and head to the Summer Palace (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Explore the iconic Hall of Benevolence and Longevity and its adjacent courtyards, then wander the legendary Long Corridor—your guide will regale you with the fascinating myths and tales behind its intricate painted murals. As twilight falls, marvel at the corridor’s unique charm when its lanterns light up, casting a warm glow over the historic artwork. End your palace exploration at the striking Marble Boat perched on Kunming Lake, taking in the serene lakeside scenery as the day fades to night.
