What you can expect

The Reuterkiez (often called Keruzkölln) is located in the far north of Neukölln. Its borders are the Kottbusser Damm, the Landwehrkanal and the Sonnenallee. Over recent years, this Kiez has changed significantly. Numerous cafés and restaurants have appeared and young people from all over the world have moved here.

This tour is intended to make you familiar with the roots of the Reuterkiez, with its buildings, its former social structure and the changes it has gone through. One point of focus is the person who gave the Reuterkiez its name - the German author Fritz Reuter. For many people, he would still be familiar. Fewer though, would be familiar with Jacky Spelter or the Kid's Gardern - these you will also be introduced to on the tour.

After the tour, there are possibilities to relax in one of the local cafés and restaurants, or to take a walk alongside the Landwehrkanal. If you would like to head off somewhere else, the Hermannplatz U-Bahn is just a stone's throw away from the tour's ending point.
