In the late morning, it's time to “cast off”. The excursion boat will take you to the beautiful town on the Moselle. The trip takes about 20 minutes. After a short walk, you will reach the restaurant, where you will be served a delicious, hearty snack. There are different types of ham, salami, cheese variations, tomato mozzarella, potato salad, and bread. After your meal, a winemaker will pick you up for an exciting covered wagon ride through the vineyards. The ride takes us through the vineyards, and you'll experience a fantastic view of the Moselle Valley. On the covered wagon, you will taste about 5 samples of the winemaker's delicious wine. There are a few stops along the way where you will learn all about winegrowing. Additional wine is available throughout the covered wagon ride and can be purchased on site. In a good mood, you will be taken back to the boat dock by covered wagon. From here, the “Weiße Flotte” will take you back to Bernkastel by boat.
