From the Bettmeralp valley station, you can comfortably take the cable car to the car-free Bettmeralp (1970 m above sea level). Bettmeralp is a popular mountain village and an ideal starting point for hikes and excursions.

To get to the Bettmerhorn viewpoint, change to the Bettmerhorn cable car at Bettmeralp. The train takes you to the Bettmerhorn (2647 m above sea level). where one of the most spectacular views of the Great Aletsch Glacier awaits you.

Hike with a view of the Aletsch Glacier:
From Bettmerhorn, various hiking trails lead to spectacular views of the Aletsch Glacier, for example, towards Märjelensee or Eggishorn. The Bettmerhorn – Eggishorn – Fiescheralp high trail is especially popular.

Luggage transport:

• Two pieces of luggage per person are transported free of charge.
• For extra luggage, you can rent a luggage trolley (for a fee). All transports are valid for the journey from the Bettmeralp valley to the Bettmeralp plateau, and their use is only permitted on the railway area.

Travelling with a wheelchair:

• The Bettmeralp cable car is barrier-free with a ground-level entrance/exit.
• On the Bettmeralp: accessible paths, viewing platforms, toilets, and e-taxis are available.
• The gondola lift to the Bettmerhorn is wheelchair accessible.
• The Aletsch Promenade trail between Bettmeralp and Riederalp is paved and has no major inclines.
