Discover Biarritz in 2 hours, starting from the town hall, with a route that allows you to quickly understand the history and identity of this must-see town on the Basque Coast. Your live guide takes you through the essential places while explaining how an old fishing village became an elegant resort frequented by the European aristocracy.

The tour begins at the Grande Plage, the heart of seaside life. From the promenade, you will see the Hôtel du Palais, the last remnant of the imperial era, and learn how the arrival of Eugénie and Napoleon III changed the destiny of Biarritz in the 19th century.

You continue towards the Port des Pêcheurs, a more intimate place where the small “crampottes” (fishermen's huts) remind you of the life of the sailors of yesteryear. It is here that you can understand Biarritz's humble beginnings, its connection to the sea, and its former activities related to whaling.

The tour continues to the Atalaye plateau, a natural headland that offers an ideal vantage point to talk about the coast, geology, storms, and the major works carried out to protect the city. A few steps further on, you reach the Rocher de la Vierge, one of the symbols of Biarritz, where maritime history, local traditions, and panoramic views of the entire coastline come together.

On the way back down, you'll reach the Port-Vieux, a former area dedicated to sea swimming and lifeguards. This area allows you to understand how Biarritz has gone from therapeutic baths to modern seaside tourism.

The tour ends in the town centre, where your live guide takes you back to the town hall, highlighting historical and cultural landmarks along the way that will be useful for continuing your exploration after the tour.

This tour offers a clear, accessible, and complete view of Biarritz's essential sites, in a format that is ideal for a first-time visit or a short getaway.
