Located within the Castries Waterworks Forest Reserve on La Sorcière Mountain, this adventure reveals the island’s extraordinary birdlife — from tropical hummingbirds to the elusive Amazona versicolor, St. Lucia’s colourful national parrot.

Set out just after sunrise to enjoy the forest at its most active. Guided by an expert Nature Interpreter, you’ll learn to recognise signature bird calls and spot a variety of endemic and migratory species, including the elegant St. Lucia Oriole, Bananaquit, and Pewee.

The trail offers a moderate hike with gradual inclines and rest points, making it perfect for both serious birders and casual nature enthusiasts.
The reserve, home to Rainforest Adventures St. Lucia, is just a 30-minute drive from Castries and the island’s main hotels — an easy and rewarding escape into nature.
