What you can expect

Venture out of Dublin for a day spent soaking in the history and scenery of Ireland among the emerald hills of the south. Visit three of Ireland's most spectacular castles on this tour, Blarney Castle, The Rock of Cashel, and Cahir Castle.

Meet your guide and fellow adventurers in central Dublin and head out of town, passing through the horse-dotted pastures of the Curragh in County Kildare. This region is absolutely perfect for breeding and training horses.

Cahir Castle is one of Ireland’s brilliantly preserved castles built on a rocky island on the River Suir. Located in County Tipperary in the south of Ireland, Cahir Castle has a fascinating 800-year-old history.

From there, make your way to Blarney Castle, where legends abound. Lay down to kiss the Blarney Stone in exchange for the gift of gab if you'd like, or absorb some of the mystical energy of the Wishing Steps, walking up and down with your eyes closed in hopes of having your wish come true.

We will arrive at one of Ireland’s 7 Wonders - the Rock of Cashel! Here we’ll explore the Hall of Vicars, Cormack’s Chapel, Celtic Cathedral, Round Tower, and the surrounding grounds filled with ancient high crosses! In addition, you’ll have the marvellous opportunity to gaze upon one of Ireland’s oldest Romanesque wall paintings inside the world-famous historical landmark!

To finish off, we’ll arrive back in Dublin to reminisce about the exciting highlights!

Best tour. Our driver Barry was knowledgeable, caring, and made the trip. Coach was comfortable and the music that Barry chose on the tour was excellent. Blarney Castle is a must. Well worth it.

The Blarney Castle itself is picturesque. The castle grounds are expansive with lots to see and do. The cafe food was good and reasonably priced-they don't gouge. For these reasons, five stars. However, pay very close attention to the instructions on how to find the bus when it's time to go back. It is extremely hard to find and we only found it because we spotted a young man from our group and we followed him. The pick up spot is not in Blarney Castles' grounds, but rather a longish walk to the village. It's not intuitive. Listen to the directions and you'll be fine.
