What you can expect
A full day in the Blue Mountains, picked up from one of ten central Sydney locations and driven by an expert local guide who knows the region well. This tour covers more ground than most Blue Mountains day trips, with stops at the Three Sisters and Scenic World alongside spectacular lookouts many tours skip altogether.
Away from the busier viewpoints, you'll stop at Govetts Leap or Evans Lookout overlooking the Grose Valley and later at Olympian Rock, a cliff-edge lookout over the Jamison Valley with views to Mount Solitary and the back of the Three Sisters. A guided bushwalk takes in Bridal Veil Falls or Leura Falls, two of the Blue Mountains' most striking waterfalls, before free time in Leura village to shop or grab lunch at your own cost.
Continue through Katoomba, the gateway to the Three Sisters and Scenic World. At Scenic World, ride the Skyway, Cableway and Railway and walk the rainforest boardwalk. This is an optional extra, and many travellers choose to book and pay for it on the day rather than in advance, since valley visibility can vary with the weather. Afterwards, visit Cahill's Lookout that adds sweeping views over the Megalong Valley
Travellers consistently single out the guides for how much they know about the area and how well they look after the group, more than any other part of the tour. On the way back towards Sydney, the coach passes Olympic Park at Homebush Bay before the day finishes with a scenic 45-minute cruise along the Parramatta River into Sydney Harbour, a relaxed way to watch the city come back into view before arriving back in central Sydney around 6:15pm to 6:30pm.
Sydney Zoo is a further optional stop along the way for travellers who'd like to see native Australian wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas and wombats, at an additional cost. Entering before the Zoo opens to the public you’ll experience a quieter time with the animals.
With ten pickup points across central Sydney and a full day covering more of the Blue Mountains than most tours attempt, this is a good fit for travellers who want the well-known landmarks without missing the Spectacular spots most visitors never see.
