Step into one of Bohol’s most unique living traditions with the Asin Tibuok Artisanal Salt-Making Tour. This immersive experience takes you to a coastal village where locals still craft salt using a centuries-old method passed down through generations.

Watch as seawater is filtered through layers of ash, slowly boiled, and carefully sealed inside clay pots — a process that can take weeks to complete. Learn the cultural significance of Asin Tibuok (“whole salt”), once prized by royalty and now considered one of the rarest salts in the world.

Along the way, meet the artisans, hear their stories, and discover how this traditionally crafted skills supports the local community. The tour ends with a closer look (and sometimes a taste) of the finished product —smoky, and unmistakably Filipino.
