You can't say you've really been to Bologna if you haven't tasted tortellini: the city's signature dish, loved by generations of Bolognese and recognised worldwide as an emblem of Emilian tradition. A small treasure chest of egg pasta filled with meat, which, according to legend, was inspired by the navel of Venus and which, even today, is prepared following recipes handed down with love and precision.

If you don't want to miss out on the history, secrets and passion behind this gastronomic masterpiece, you can't miss the Tortellino Experience: a unique tour that combines culture, taste and creativity in true Bolognese style.

The experience begins with a pleasant walk in the company of an experienced tour guide. During a one-hour walking tour through the centre of Bologna, among porticoes, squares, and ancient shops, you will discover the medieval origins of tortellini, popular legends, the rituals of hand-rolled pasta, and the importance of this dish in the city's daily and festive life.

After learning about its history, it's time to taste it! A plate of tortellini prepared according to local tradition awaits you, served in broth (as is the winter custom) or with a delicate Parmigiano Reggiano cream, depending on the season and availability. An authentic taste experience to be enjoyed in one of the most beloved shops in Bologna.

But the most surprising part comes now: it's time to get to work! When booking, you can decide which hands-on experience you'd like to enjoy: you can choose between a creative leather workshop or a cooking class. If you love creativity, you can take part in a craft workshop where you can create an original leather tortellini keychain made with recycled materials from high fashion. If, on the other hand, you prefer to get your hands dirty, a smart cooking class of about an hour awaits you: with a rolling pin in hand, you will learn how to make tortellini like real Bolognese pasta makers and, if there is time, also other types of fresh pasta. Of course, there will be time for a tasting!

To conclude your adventure, you will receive a small tortellini-themed gift, perfect for remembering an experience full of taste, craftsmanship, and tradition. An authentic and unconventional route to truly get into the heart (and belly!) of Bologna, suitable for the whole family.
