What you can expect

  • Immerse yourself in the history of Bordeaux by discovering the Porte Cailhau, one of the old city gates, built between 1493 and 1496 to celebrate the victory of Charles VIII. This 35-meter-high monument combines medieval and Renaissance architecture in the heart of the historic centre.

The visit gives you access to an exhibition on medieval Bordeaux and allows you to admire a panoramic view from a height of 23 metres over the Garonne, the Pont de Pierre, and the rooftops of the city. This is an ideal cultural activity for a solo outing, or for a family or group of friends.

Take advantage of this tour to experience a unique moment in one of the most emblematic places in Bordeaux.
