What you can expect

  • To get to know Brest and its history better, Brest Walking Tours offers walking tours of Brest in small groups. An opportunity for short-term visitors and locals to learn lots of fascinating information about the city of Ponant, while having fun, because a tour with Brest Walking Tours is much more than a guided visit; it's a stroll, an exchange, riddles, and lots of laughter!

Brest, the westernmost city in France, often mocked for its rainy weather, has a unique charm and atmosphere and requires a little context to be able to get to know it. Almost completely destroyed at the end of World War II, the city's streets still bear traces of its military past and present, but recently the city has been enjoying a new lease of life. From Place de la Liberté to the Plateau des Capucins and its urban cable car, we will walk through the culture of Brest, past and present, and learn more about its amazing architecture, its surprising history, and anecdotes about its inhabitants.

Meeting point: in front of the Cinéma Multiplexe in Brest
Drop-off: At the Ateliers des Capucins (and optional return by cable car)
Duration: 2.5 hours, at a very leisurely pace
