We head straight to the ferry to cross the azure waters to the iconic Tihany Peninsula. Sitting in the open-top minibus or standing by the deck, you’ll enjoy the fresh summer breeze and beautiful panoramic views of the approaching volcanic coast.

Upon arriving on the northern shore, our first stop is the Lavender House Visitor Centre, operated by the Balaton-uplands National Park. Following the Visitor Centre, we will head up to the charming cobblestone streets of the historic old village. You will have one hour of free time here to explore at your own pace. Soak in the atmosphere of the traditional thatched-roof houses, visit the famous Benedictine Abbey, take photos from the breathtaking panoramic promenade, or try the local lavender ice cream!
The Climax: Private Lavender Harvest at Kőröshegy
After exploring Tihany, we board the ferry back to the southern shore and drive up into the rolling hills of Kőröshegy. This spectacular farm features endless fields of blooming lavender with a jaw-dropping backdrop of Lake Balaton. Equipped with a harvest bag and scissors, you will experience the tranquil joy of cutting your own fresh, fragrant lavender bouquet to take home. To close this perfect “Slow Life” day, relax under the shade of the trees with a refreshing local lavender drink.
Easy Return to Budapest
After the harvest, your guide will drive you smoothly back to Balatonföldvár railway station in the panoramic minibus, perfectly timed for your direct train back to Budapest.
