Your journey starts at Balatonföldvár railway station, where your local guide will meet you right at the platform. You’ll hop into an iconic 90s vintage Japanese 4x4 off-roader. If the weather is sweet, we roll with the top down for an open-air safari feeling; if it rains or it's too hot, we stay fully covered and comfortable.
Scenic Viewpoints & Historic Tihany Ferry
Our first stop is a hidden lookout point in Balatonföldvár, offering a stunning panoramic introduction to the lake. From there, we drive straight to the ferry, crossing the azure waters to the iconic Tihany Peninsula. You can enjoy the fresh breeze from the deck or stay in the vintage vehicle as we arrive on the historic northern shore. Explore Tihany’s charming cobblestone streets, traditional thatched-roof houses, and the famous Benedictine Abbey at your own pace.
Rolling Hills & Culinary stop
After boarding the ferry back to the southern shore, we head up into the hills of Kötcse. We’ll visit the Nezdepuszta viewpoint for another breathtaking perspective of the lake.
As the afternoon winds down, we head deep into the rugged terrain near Szólád, driving up to the wild and untouched Kőröshegy. Your vintage 4x4 will conquer the off-road trails to reach a spectacular panoramic hilltop. Here, far from the crowds, you will witness a magical, unforgettable view of the whole lake to close this perfect countryside escape.
Easy Return to Budapest
After the sunset, your guide will drive you smoothly back to Balatonföldvár railway station, perfectly timed for your direct train back to Budapest, ensuring a stress-free journey home.
