What you can expect

Explore Burgos on a guided walk around its majestic Cathedral and some of the most representative corners of its historic centre. This experience is designed for those who want to discover the essence of the city in a close, enjoyable way, full of details that often go unnoticed.

Our meeting point is in front of the Arch of Santa María, one of the entrances of its wall with lots to discover.

We'll venture into the monumental heart of the city to discover the surroundings of the Cathedral of Burgos, one of the great jewels of European Gothic architecture, on an exterior tour.

Just a few steps from the Cathedral, we'll discover the Church of Saint Nicholas of Bari, which holds one of the most remarkable artistic surprises of late Gothic architecture in Burgos. From the outside, we'll explore the historical context of this church linked to the patronage of the López de Polanco family.

We'll continue our walk to discover the Palacio de Castilfalé, an elegant 16th-century palace that will allow us to talk about one of the most influential families in the city's history.

The tour will then take us through the Las Llanas area, where we'll tell you about its past and current uses, although you might find the latter more entertaining.

Our next stop will be Plaza Mayor, the heart of the city. We'll explore some interesting facts about its architecture and talk about food and wine, useful tools for enjoying the city.

Next, we'll explore one of the spaces most beloved by the people of Burgos: the Paseo del Espolón. This elegant landscaped promenade, created in the late 18th century, became the meeting place for Burgos's social life.

From there, we'll head to Plaza del Mío Cid, dominated by the imposing equestrian statue of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, El Cid Campeador. Here, we'll discover the relationship between this character and the city, as well as the Puente de San Pablo (Bridge of St. Paul), flanked by statues of several characters linked to the legend of El Cid.

Our tour will end in front of one of the most important historical buildings in Burgos: the Casa del Cordón (Palace of the Constables of Castile). Here we'll discover some of the stories and curiosities of this place.

Throughout the tour, you'll enjoy a guided experience with a friendly and dynamic approach, designed so that you can discover Burgos in an accessible and entertaining way. In addition to exploring its monumental heritage, we'll also share local recommendations on cuisine, special spots, and plans to continue enjoying the city after the visit.

This guided tour is an excellent way to get a complete first look at Burgos, understand its history, and discover why this Castilian city has been a key point in the history and culture of Spain for centuries.
