After you have been picked up from your hotel, we will drive North East out of Cape Town. We will pass some of the most well known Townships in the country and have an interesting discussion of the daily lifestyle of the local people in the townships. Next, we will turn off to Stellenbosch, the Cape Wine Region. Afterwards, we will drive through the town of Stellenbosch, known to be the second-oldest town in the country. As we drive through this town, you will get a nostalgic feeling for how people used to live here, with Cape Dutch houses and their thatched roofs, oak trees on either side of the road and gutters along the roadside.
Next, it will be wine o'clock.
Then, we will go to our first wine tasting at Marianne, where they believe red wine goes well with biltong, the South African term for jerky, or dried meat. Then, we will continue to Fairview, where they pair the wine with cheese.
Guests are welcome to order a light lunch with their wine tastings.
Finally, we will head back to Cape Town
