Escape the bustle of Palermo on a half-day tour to Monreale and Cefalù. Marvel at the majestic Norman cathedral of Monreale, located on the slopes of Monte Caputo, and discover the historic coastal town of Cefalù, with its Greek and medieval roots.
After being picked up from Piazza Verdi 59 (in front of Ristorante 59), set off for Monreale and spend about 1.5 hours visiting the famous Norman Cathedral. The official audio guide will accompany you as you discover the history and artistic details of one of the most important medieval religious buildings in southern Italy.
Then continue to Cefalù, travelling along the beautiful northern coast of Sicily. Upon arrival, you'll have about 2 hours to explore the 12th-century Cathedral, discover traces of the Middle Ages at the Osterio Magno, admire the panoramic views from Porta Terra, see the Greek and Arabic ceramics at the Mandralisca Museum, and descend the curving steps to the distinctive 16th-century wash basins at the Lavatoio.
A unique experience combining art, history and breathtaking views, ideal for discovering two of Sicily's most iconic destinations in total comfort. This activity falls into the category of self-guided excursions: an excursion without an on-site guide, in which travellers explore tourist destinations independently and at their own pace.
