The Arkadi Monastery is the most important and historic Venetian church in Crete’s history. A symbol of resistance, it played a crucial role in the heroic revolution of the Cretans until their complete liberation.

Next, visit the village of Margarites, one of the largest pottery centers in Greece. With a tradition passed down through generations, you may even meet an elder artisan who will demonstrate the art of hand-throwing pots.
