Option 1: Half-day Panda Base Tour
Get up close and personal with Chengdu's cutest residents on this half-day tour. After meeting your guide at the meeting point, enjoy a 40-minute drive to the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Go for a stroll along the park's bamboo-shaded path and visit the adorable pandas in their enclosures. You will have the opportunity to see pandas of all ages. Afterwards, head to the Panda Nursery to see the baby panda cubs.

Later, meet the raccoon-like red pandas in their enclosure, then leave the panda base and get dropped off in central Chengdu(Tianfu Square) in the noon.

Option 2: Full-day Chengdu Panda Base & Leshan Giant Buddha Group Tour

Detailed Itinerary& Suggested Timing:

07:40 AM - 08:30 AM: Meet at meeting point & Transfer to Chengdu Panda Base
08:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Panda Base Visit
Arrive at the Panda Base as it opens—the best time to see the pandas when they are most active. Stroll through the beautiful park-like facility to observe adult pandas munching on bamboo, playful juveniles, and the adorable, tiny panda cubs (in the nursery, if available).
11:00 AM - 1:30 PM: Transfer to Leshan
Relax during the approximately 2.5-hour drive to Leshan City.
01:30 PM - 02:30 PM: Lunch Time (At your own expense)
Enjoy a quick and tasty local Sichuan lunch at a selected restaurant near the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area.
03:00 PM - 05:00 PM: Marvel at the Giant Buddha
Arrive at Leshan. We recommend the hiking route to fully appreciate the scale and artistry of the Buddha. Walk along the cliff-side path, descend the famous “Nine-Bend Plank Walk”, and stand at the feet of the 71-meter tall statue for a truly awe-inspiring experience.
05:00 PM - 07:30 PM: Return Journey to Chengdu ; End tour at Chengdu Tianfu Square
Return drive to Chengdu, with an expected arrival at Chengdu city centre around 7:30 PM. Finally end the tour at Tianfu Square.
