What you can expect

Discover the charm and stories of Chiang Mai on a cultural walking tour through the city’s historic heart. Your guide will introduce you to local traditions, Lanna heritage, and the key landmarks that shaped the “Rose of the North.”

Start at the Three Kings Monument, a central meeting point in the Old City, and learn how Chiang Mai was founded and developed over time. Continue to some of the city’s most important temples, such as Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang, and hear the meaning behind their architecture, legends, and religious practices.

Along the way, you’ll also pass additional local temples and community areas, including a stop near the Women Correctional Institution Vocational Training Centre. Your guide will share insights into modern local life and how tradition and everyday culture blend in Chiang Mai.

Then, head towards Tha Phae Gate, one of the most famous city gates. Walk through a local market area where you can browse typical souvenirs and, if you wish, try local food. The tour ends at Tha Phae Gate.
