What you can expect

  • See Chicago from the air on a private sightseeing flight in a six-seat Cessna (5 passenger seats). You meet your pilot at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling, get a short safety briefing and walk to the aircraft.

    Once airborne, the pilot flies a route over the North Shore mansions, the Lake Michigan shoreline, Lincoln Park, Navy Pier, the Loop skyline with Willis Tower, and Grant Park, adjusted on the day for weather and air-traffic control. The whole aircraft is booked for your group only, up to 5 passengers, and everyone gets a window seat. Headsets let you talk to the pilot and ask about what you see below.

    Bring your phone or camera: the windows give great angles for photos and video. After landing there is time for photos with the aircraft.

    Flights are operated by a licensed local air operator. Flying depends on the weather: if the flight is cancelled for weather or safety reasons, you choose a new date or get a full refund.
