Start your hike in the heart of the Ernici Mountains, in a strategic point ideal for excursions in the greenery. Follow the Valle dei Santi trail, which begins near the S. Domenico district, passes under the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Cese, the Certosa di Trisulti, the monastery and the hermitage of S. Domenico, and reaches the Ponte dei Santi.

Admire the beautiful landscapes, natural waterfalls, and wooden bridges as you walk along the stream. Then, go up until you reach the ancient “Hermitage,” at the foot of Mount Porca, where S. Domenico retired in 983 during his first three years of stay in this area. Inside the hermitage, see a bronze bust of the Saint.
