With your ticket, discover the Archaeological area: Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. The archaeological area starts at the Roman Forum and ends at the Colosseum. Meet our staff at the Touristation office next to the Piazza Venezia.

Before your visit to the Archaeological area, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Ancient Roman times with this intense 25-minute multimedia video showing the before and after effect of all the best sites of Rome including the Colosseum and Underground, Pantheon, Circus Maximum and the Vatican area.The video is ideal to view before taking your tours as one can appreciate the splendour of how the ruins were in Ancient Roman Times.

Enjoy the Roman Forum where everyday Roman citizens used to live. You will be able to visit the tomb of the emperor Julius Caesar and explore the ruins of the Roman.

Visit the Palatine Hill, site of the foundation of Rome and settlement of the most important houses of emperors and kings. Located just feet away from the Roman Forum and Circus Maximum, it is the centermost of the 7 hills of Rome.

At the end, step inside one of the world's most famous monuments: the Colosseum. The entrance to the Colosseum will be approximately 2 hours after the meeting point time.
After the security check collect your official audiovideoguide inside the Colosseum and explore the immense amphitheatre — the largest ever built by the Roman Empire. The audiovideoguide is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portoguese, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Italian.

The entrance to the Colosseum will take place approximately 2 hours after your tour begins.
