Book your sailing holiday on the sailing yacht JOJOBA in the land of the gods. The waters around Corfu, Lefkada, and the other islands such as Ithaca, Kefalonia, and Zakynthos are among the most beautiful sailing areas in the world. Sailing in Greece means, above all, beautiful sandy beaches, secluded coves, and breathtaking cliffs, all with excellent winds (preferably sporty, but not strong-wind sailing).
On Corfu, we start our sailing holiday at the private Mandraki Yacht Club, right inside the old fortress of Corfu Town. The crew will meet on board the sailing yacht “JOJOBA” from 4:00 PM. After getting to know all the crew members, we will move into the cabins. Then we purchase the provisions intended for the first few days. In the evening, we enjoy the best of Greek cuisine together in a taverna near the harbour. The following day, we'll set sail and head south.
Depending on the wind, we will reach the Ionian island of Paxos after 25 nautical miles. There are countless enchanting places here that are suitable for spending the night. In the north, for example, there is Lakka, where free anchoring is possible. However, we can also moor at the pier. Another option for mooring is in Longos, in the middle of the island. By the way, there are very good fish taverns there.
In the far south, we find another harbour, the island capital of Gaios. On the mainland, the town of Parga with its medieval fortress and many winding streets is always worth a trip. To the south, Two Rock Bay is ideal for a BBQ evening on board or on the beach.
Start on Lefkada: In the southern Ionian Sea, the inland sea between Lefkada and the mainland offers beautiful bays and small harbours that invite you to linger. Here we also find the former Onassis island of Skorpios. The area is fun to sail in, even in stronger winds, due to the low swell.
Following in the footsteps of Odysseus, we explore his home island of Ithaca or visit Kefalonia with the picturesque harbour village of Fiskardo in the north or the impressive caves of Melissani near Sami.
One-House Bay on Atokos invites you to swim, and in the small harbour of Kastos, we enjoy wonderfully fresh tuna steaks.
In good wind conditions, we might treat ourselves to a visit to Zakynthos, the southernmost Ionian island. Here we can admire the blue caves near Agios Nikolaos in the north or the world-famous Shipwreck Bay (Navagio) on the west coast.
