Overview

  • Welcome to Chania! If you are looking for an escape that goes beyond the ordinary and want to get to know our place like true guests and not just passersby, you are in the right place! This tour is designed with a lot of love for those who arrive by cruise ship and want to experience Crete in its most authentic version. This is not another standardised tour, but a beautiful journey of getting to know the three most precious goods of our island: oil, wine and delicious, homemade food. We take you with us away from the busy tourist trails, where tradition remains alive and unadulterated! As soon as you disembark, our comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle awaits you.
    Maximum group size: 7 people.
For groups of more than 7, the tour is available only as a private group, up to a maximum of 11 people.

Activity itinerary

Souda (Pass by)

Welcome to Chania! As soon as you disembark, our comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle awaits you.

Vryses

  • 30m
We stop at a hidden, traditional area bakery, one of which locals prefer to start their day. Here we will try warm, handmade lychnarakia and kalitsounia. Imagine crispy dough, pure mizithra cheese and a hint of honey on top. Warning: They are addictive from the first bite!

Vryses

  • 1h
Stop to taste the "liquid gold". Olive oil is one of the most essential ingredients of the Greek cuisine. We will witness how it is made at the traditional olive oil craft- industry.

Next stop, a unique local winery that invests in passion and quality. We will go down to the cool cellar to see where the barrels rest and then we move on to the most enjoyable part: the winetasting! We will taste 5 wines from rare local varieties, such as Vidiano and Romeiko.

Lake Kournas

For the grand finale, we have the best for you: we will drive up to the beautiful and peaceful Lake Kournas. Next to this magical landscape, we will sit at a traditional tavern that is run with passion by the third generation of the same family. Here, grandmother's recipes are followed without anyone allowed to change them. The table will be filled with authentic fried lamb or antkristo, snails (for the more daring!) and fresh salads with sour cheese. And because a Cretan table is not complete without raki, we will clink our glasses with ice-cold raki

When we are finished, we will return you to the port completely full and smiling. And the most important thing? You will be there 1 to 1.30 hours before the ship's departure, because all we want you to lose is the calories, not the cruise ship!
