Activity itinerary

Castillo de San Cristobal (Pass by)
An optional stop but definitely can get close enough to take pictures.
Laguna del Condado
  • 20m
It’s not a guarantee, but going across the bridge here it’s possible to see sting rays and manatees. There is a kiosko with drinks and snacks and another great view and photo opportunity.
Balneario El Escambron
  • 20m
A public beach with amazing views, bathrooms, lifeguards and foot showers. Local food served by vendors. Great place for pictures.
Calle de la Fortaleza
  • 20m
One of the oldest cobblestone streets in the old city. It’s the home of the governor and everything stately. Great shopping, food and photos at umbrella street.
Calle Loiza
  • 30m
Calle Loíza in San Juan is a vibrant corridor where culinary delights, artistic expressions, and local culture converge. As you journey from Old San Juan to Condado, this bustling street offers a feast for the senses. Café Tresbé serves up tacos, sliders, and sushi from a cool open-air spot built out of a shipping container. Acapulco Taquería Mexicana is the go-to for legit tacos al pastor and fresh handmade tortillas. Molini’s dishes out classic Puerto Rican comfort food like mofongo, right near the Ocean Park strip. Pinky’s is a laid-back local favourite for all-day breakfast, wraps, and smoothies. And La Preña brings serious flavour with Venezuelan arepas stuffed to perfection from their food lorry.
Condado Beach
  • 10m
Riding a pedicab down Ashford Avenue in Condado offers a unique experience. This iconic thoroughfare, often referred to as San Juan's "Fifth Avenue," is the heart of Condado, a vibrant beachfront district known for its upscale hotels, restaurants, and shops. As you journey along Ashford Avenue, you'll pass landmarks like the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, a symbol of the area's early 20th-century development, and the La Concha Hotel, renowned for its distinctive architecture. Beyond its historical significance, Ashford Avenue offers a sensory experience. The route is lined with palm trees and offers glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean, providing ample photo opportunities. Local eateries and boutiques add to the charm, making it a delightful path for those looking to immerse themselves in the local culture. Opting for a pedicab tour along Ashford Avenue allows travellers to absorb the sights and sounds at a leisurely pace, offering a more intimate connection to the city's rich tapestry.
Playa Ultimo Trolley (Playa Ocean Park)
  • 10m
A local beach adjacent to a huge public park, Playa El Último trolley is at the far east end of the route. Here we stop for a piña colada and chat with Ramon, the local kiosko operator. Here travellers will get a glimpse into local life and meet new people who offer things such as salsa classes at the beach.
Paseo de la Princesa
  • 10m
The farthest west part of the route. This beautifully restored 19th-century promenade, constructed between 1852 and 1854, stretches about half a mile along the southern city walls, providing stunning views of San Juan Bay. As you journey down this tree-lined path, you'll encounter antique streetlamps, vibrant street vendors, and the iconic Raíces Fountain—a sculpture celebrating Puerto Rico's rich cultural heritage. The route also passes by the historic La Princesa building, once a prison in the 19th century and now home to the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
