Cuc Phuong National Park, the largest and most significant conservation area in Northern Vietnam, attracts scientists worldwide for research. Day 1: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong NP - Trekking - Camping
6:30 AM: Depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. Short break for refreshment on the way. Upon arrival at Cuc Phuong National Park, meet with the forest rangers for a briefing on the trek. Begin with a visit to the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre to learn about the park's conservation efforts and ongoing research.
Lunch: After the visit, continue by vehicle to Bong, where you'll have lunch at a restaurant within the park.
Afternoon: Begin your trek into the forest, guided by forest ranger. The route will be determined by the guide based on current conditions, such as time, weather, and wildlife signs. This flexible approach allows for a more immersive experience, as the guide may choose less travelled paths or even unmarked routes, enhancing the sense of adventure and discovery as you explore the heart of the forest.
Evening: After several hours of trekking, we reach the campsite for the night. Before dinner, join forest rangers to observe signs of wildlife. Dinner cooked by forest rangers. Gather around the campfire after dinner. Taste local spirit and share stories before settling in for the night under the tree.

Day 2: Cuc Phuong NP - Hanoi
Morning: Wake up to the natural sounds of the forest. Start the day with coffee or hot tea and a hearty breakfast. Break camp and continue the trek deeper into the forest. The forest rangers are knowledgeable about the area and can identify animal tracks, medicinal plants, and edible fruits along the way. They will also be vigilant for any signs of poaching or traps, ensuring the safety of the group and the protection of the wildlife. This part of the journey offers a deeper connection to the natural environment and a greater understanding of the forest's intricate ecosystem.
We will arrive in Bong around 12:00. We'll wash up and change before having lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, we'll board the bus for the drive back to Hanoi.
