Locals say it's the work of Jack “Smiley” Jackson, a cheerful patron in life, tragically killed in Room 1009. His ghost is said to still make the rounds, keeping the spirits flowing.

By day, Pegasus Plaza is a lively gathering spot—but at night, the past comes alive. Once the heart of bustling commerce, the plaza also bears scars of tragedy, including the souls lost beneath the wheels of early electric trolleys. Some say you can still hear the screech of brakes... and final screams.

The scent of cologne or perfume isn’t always coming from a fellow guest. At the historic Hotel Adolphus, visitors report phantom fragrances, shadowy figures, and a woman in vintage dress calling out the names of long-departed staff. She's searching—for what, no one knows.
