What you can expect

Embark on a full-day private wildlife tour to Mikumi National Park, located southwest of Dar Es Salaam. Enjoy a full day of game drives and animal sightings in Mikumi Park, a cultural tour of the nearby local Maasai village, and lunch in the middle of the park at Mikumi Cottages.

Be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam and meet your guide. Then, start the train trip to Mikumi. This journey will take about 3 hours, so you will get a good view of African hinterlands as you drive past local towns such as Kibaha and Morogoro.

On arrival, check in and refresh, and have lunch at the lodge. Then, in the late afternoon, go to the nearby Maasai village for a cultural tour.
