Darwin Bay and Carawua Diving Tour Itinerary
One day before the tour – Try-on and delivery of scuba gear
To ensure a comfortable and safe experience, you must come to our dive agency one day before the activity to try on and receive the necessary gear. Includes a full wetsuit, boots, fins, regulator, BCD, mask, snorkel, weights, and two scuba tanks.
8:00 AM – Arrive at our diving agency
On the day of the tour, we'll meet at our agency in San Cristobal, where our team will check that everything is ready before starting the underwater adventure.
08:15 AM – Transfer to Muelle Acuario I and departure by boat
We will travel to Muelle Acuario I to board the dive boat and begin sailing to the sites selected for the activity.
Sail to Darwin Bay
During the trip to Darwin Bay, you'll enjoy the ocean scenery and receive an explanation from the instructor about the dive site, safety regulations, and the marine species you'll be able to observe.
First dive in Darwin Bay
You will have your first diving experience for approximately 45 minutes, with a maximum depth of 12 metres. This site offers the opportunity to observe species such as reef sharks, sea turtles, barracudas, rays, octopuses, and various fish that inhabit the waters of the Galapagos.
Rest on board with snacks and drinks
After the first dive, you'll return to the boat to rest, hydrate, and enjoy snacks while sharing the experience with the group.
Second dive in Carawua
We'll continue to Carawua, a special site due to its historic shipwreck that's over 100 years old. During this second dive, you'll explore the reef that has formed around the sunken ship and see sea lions, rays, puffer fish, and other marine species in the ecosystem.
12:00 PM – Drop-off at the cruise port
At the end of the dives, we will return to the San Cristobal cruise port. The arrival time may vary depending on ocean conditions.

The sightseeing tour can also be done in the afternoon, starting at 1:30 PM and ending at approximately 5:30 PM, depending on availability and sea conditions.
