What you can expect

  • Litchfield National Park is one of the Northern Territory's most spectacular natural wonders - and the best way to truly take it all in is from the air.

Departing Darwin Airport at 9:00am, this 80-minute scenic flight takes you over landscapes that are simply inaccessible by land. From above, you will witness the sheer scale and raw beauty of one of Australia's most dramatic regions, with sweeping views across ancient escarpments, year-round waterfalls, and vast untouched wetlands.

Your flight path takes you over the Darwin River Dam and the famous Rum Jungle Uranium Mine before reaching the majestic Litchfield escarpments. From there, look down on the iconic Magnetic Ant Hills, the mysterious Lost City rock formations, the stunning Cascades, and a string of magnificent waterfalls including Florence, Tjeyja, Wangi, Tolmer, and Sandy Creek Falls. Unlike many regions that rely on the wet season, Litchfield boasts breathtaking waterfalls and wetlands all year round.

On the return leg, the flight heads north over the remote and inaccessible beauty of the Western Regions, finishing with sweeping views over Bynoe Harbour and the upper reaches of Darwin Harbour.

Operated by Kookaburra Air, one of Australia's most experienced air tour operators with over 30 years in the industry, this is a flight experience you will be talking about long after you land.
