Start your adventure by meeting your friendly local guide in near husseini mosque, one of the most important mosques in city centre Amman, built in the early 20th century on the site of an older mosque. Learn about the role of the mosque in the daily life of locals and the history behind its construction. your guide will give you an introduction to the city, sharing insights into Amman’s history and modern-day life. Close to this mosque are two famous souqs: Souq Bukharia (good for getting souvenirs) and Souq Al-Sukar (fruit, vegetables, nuts and spices.)
Al Balad – Downtown Amman

The Balad is the oldest section of the city which is made up of a myriad of markets. The area's long history leaves a large number of historical sites, such as the Amman Citadel, the Roman Theatre ( we advise our guests to visit Amman citadel and the theatre before or after the tour ), and the Roman Nymphaeum which we will pass by during the tour. Stop at a traditional Jordanian bakery for a quick snack. Sample freshly baked Ka’ak (sesame bread) or a Falafel sandwich, giving you a taste of the local street food and enjoy the food samples along the tour.
