What you can expect

  • Discover two of the most beautiful natural wonders in Kazakhstan on this full-day guided SUV tour from Almaty. Explore the lush forests and waterfalls of the Turgen Gorge, then journey to the vast, high-altitude landscapes of the Assy Plateau, a peaceful place far above the city, known for its breathtaking views and traditional nomadic pastures.

This is the ultimate getaway for travellers who want to escape the crowds and experience Kazakhstan’s wild and untouched nature in a fun and adventurous way. Travelling in a 4x4 jeep allows access to off-road mountain trails and scenic routes that regular vehicles can’t reach.

We begin the day with pickup in Almaty and head east to the Turgen Waterfall (Bear Waterfall), where you’ll walk through pine forests and enjoy the cool spray and powerful sounds of falling water. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into the local ecosystem, flora, and fauna.

Next, we drive to the panoramic Assy Plateau at an elevation of over 2,500 metres. The journey offers dramatic landscapes - alpine meadows, winding rivers, grazing animals, and perhaps even views of snow-capped peaks on clear days.

After some free time to walk, photograph, and enjoy the peaceful scenery, we’ll return to Almaty by early evening.

This tour combines soft adventure, nature, local culture, and relaxation in one memorable day.
