What you can expect

  • Embark on a full-day journey from Tangier to explore two of northern Morocco’s most captivating cities — Chefchaouen and Tetouan. This shared or private excursion blends the charm of the Rif Mountains, the peaceful atmosphere of Chefchaouen’s blue-painted streets, and the Andalusian character of Tetouan, a UNESCO World Heritage city.

Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel, the port, or a nearby meeting point in Tangier. Travel comfortably in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle with a friendly bilingual driver who will ensure a smooth and pleasant ride. As you leave Tangier behind, admire the scenic views of the Rif Mountains and make a refreshing stop at the beautiful Nakhla Lake. Take photos of this peaceful spot, stretch your legs, and enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea or coffee before continuing your journey.

Arrive in Chefchaouen, often called the “Blue Pearl of Morocco.” Nestled between the mountains, this charming town enchants visitors with its blue-washed walls, tranquil alleys, and artistic vibe. Meet your local guide for a walking tour through the Medina and discover its history, culture, and unique Andalusian influences. Wander through colourful souks, explore the old Kasbah, and visit Ras El Ma, where the mountain stream flows gently through the village.

After the guided visit, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Savour a traditional Moroccan lunch, browse the artisan shops for handwoven textiles and ceramics, or simply relax in a café and take in the calm, magical atmosphere of Chefchaouen’s blue streets.

In the afternoon, continue towards Tetouan, often called “The White Dove.” This beautiful city sits at the foot of the Rif Mountains and is known for its bright white Medina and strong Andalusian identity. Unlike Chefchaouen, there is no guided tour in Tetouan, allowing you to explore freely. Stroll through the historic centre, admire the impressive Royal Palace from the outside, visit the local markets, or discover artisan workshops where traditional crafts are still made by hand.
